Jared King, an outfielder and left-handed pitcher from Dublin Jerome, has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers

Jared King, a outfielder and left-handed pitcher from Dublin Jerome, has committed to the University of Tennessee. 

Jared has been recognized by the Perfect Game Cross Checker as one of the top prospects (274 of 300) in the nation for the class of 2010. Jared is one of only 6 players from Ohio to be included on this prestigious list.

Jared has received the distinct honor of being invited the Area Code games. Attendance at this highly selective event is based upon professional scouts recommendations.

In the fall, Jared participates on the Midwest Redbirds scout team.

Jared is the son of Jeff King (former catcher at Ohio State) and the late Susan King. Jared's older brother Jason currently plays at Kansas State. He was named the 2007 Ohio Division I player of the year and drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals.
