On April 6, junior left-handed pitcher Adam Wolf led the Cardinals to an upset, knocking off No. 4 North Carolina State, 8-2. In seven innings of work, Wolf held the Wolfpack to two hits and did not allow a run. The native from Milan, Ohio struck out six batters, and walked to, as he improved to 4-2 on the year. In 53.1 innings, Wolf sports a 2.36 ERA on the year, with 63 strikeouts to 17 walks.
Player of the week: Zane Harris, Wright State
Last weekend, in helping the Raiders take a weekend set against Horizon League rival Illinois-Chicago, DH Zane Harris had a big weekend in the Windy City. In 10 at-bats, Harris rapped out six hits. In WSU's 7-1 victory in the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader, Harris drove in three runs and scored once. For the season, the redshirt freshman from Mansfield Madison is batting .400, with four doubles and two home runs in 25 contests.
