Perfect Game leads Ohio Elite-Hatfield past Columbus Elite 13-0 to Claim Championship!

Sunday was a day Weston Melick will set aside for the scrapbook as Weston threw a Perfect Game in Ohio Elite-Hatfield 's 13-0 victory over Columbus Elite in the championship game of the Battle of the Ville Nations Qualifier in Westerville, Ohio. 

No Columbus Elite batter was able to locate Weston's pitches during the game. Weston threw a no-hitter, striking out five batters and walking none while recording his momentous feat. Combined with Weston's efforts the Ohio Elite team backed their pitcher with stellar defense and explosive offense to a great team win.  He got Nicholas Reed to strike out for the final out of the game. 

Caleb Sheriff, Owen Mullins, Tanner Parsons Each had two Singles with a combined 4 rbi, Ty Hatfield added a double with 2 rbi, Sam Sells, Weston, Dayne Burgess, Andrew Patrick, Will Skerbetz, and Austin Knupp Each added a single with a combined 4 rbi's. 

Andrew Beckner was charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked three and struck out none.
