 6/2/11-6/5/11  Ball State Tournament, Muncie, IN  (A showcase tournament, finished 3-1 with the only loss coming to the Indiana Bulls 12-10.  Beat East Central Illinois Titans, Indiana Mustangs, and Pony Express IND.  Based on record and run differential, we finished in a tie for second in the tournament.)

6/9/11-6/12/11  Tri-State Elite Tournament, Cincinnati, OH (Finished Runner-up in this Elite 18u tournament going 4-1.  Beating Kinect Nationals, Team Cincinnati 17, Somerset Legion, Team Cincinnati 18 and losing in the Championship 9-8 to Dayton Dirtbags at Prasco Park.)

6/23/11-6/26/11  U. of Louisville Tournament, Louisville, KY (A showcase tournament, we finished 3-1 in beating Pony Express u17 White (Ind.), Top Tier Americans (Illinois), losing to Tennessee Bats 2-0, and beating the Northern Kentucky Hitmen.  We won our pool.)

6/28/11 Team Columbus, Dublin Jerome HS, 6:00 (Won 11-4)

6/30/11-7/3/11  Cincy Flames Tournament, Cincinnati, OH (Went 4-1 in the tournament beating Bloomfield Sting (MI), Chicago Elite, Lake Erie Bulldogs (OH) and Ontario Terriers (Canada), winning our pool and being placed #3 seed.  Lost in the semi's to Easton Tigers (OH) 3-1.)

7/7/11-7/10/11  Buckeye Elite Tournament, Columbus, OH (Went 2-1-1 in the tournament beating Ohio Orioles Black 5-1, Losing to North Canton 3-2, beating GBR Rays (WI) 9-0, and tying Columbus Cobras 10-10.)  We are 23-6-1 to this point.

7/12/11 Team Columbus, Dublin Jerome HS, 6:00 (Won 8-4)  We are 24-6-1 to this point.

7/14/11-7/17/11  Wright St./U. of Dayton Pastime Tournament, Dayton, OH (Went 4-1 in the tournament.  We beat Oakville Royals (Canada), Cincinnati Aces, Indiana Mustangs, Louisville Baseball, and finally losing to Player One at Miami of Ohio.  We won our pool and were seeded 11 out of 96 teams.)  We are 28-7-1.

7/19/11  Columbus Cobras, TBD, 5:00 (Cancelled)

7/22/11-7/27/11  CABA World Series, Cleveland, OH  (Finished #17 out of 65 teams.  Went 4-2 beating Ann Arbor Travelers (MI), No. KY Timberwolves, FCA Cincy Baseball Sharks, and Lake Catholic HS Team.  Lost 3-2 to Steve's Sports, and 6-4 to Cincy Post 82.)  We are 32-9-1 to this point.

7/29/11-7/31/11  U. of Notre Dame Tournament, South Bend, IN (Finished #1 with a 5-0 record and a +28 run diff.  Beat Team Mizuno (Missouri), Lake Area Dodgers (MI), Pony Express White (IN), Illinois Oak Forest Storm, and Ft. Wayne Cubs.)  We finished the season 37-9-1.  Well done boys!

The 2011 17U Ohio Elite will be lead by veteran area coach, Chris Huesman.  

Coach Huesman is currently the head varsity coach at Dublin Jerome High School. Before coaching at Dublin Jerome, he coached at Dublin Coffman, Dublin Scioto, Otterbein University, and Jonathan Alder. While at Jonathan Alder, Coach Huesman lead the Pioneers to a state championship in 1998. He helped the Pioneers become recognized as a state power in baseball.  Coach Huesman has also coach competitive travel teams including the Ohio Thunder and Columbus Big Katz.
