Josh Desze (17U Elite) became the first member of the Ohio Elite to be selected in the Major League Baseball draft. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 28th round with the 865th overall pick. Desze, a right handed pitcher from Olentangy Liberty, regularly throws in the low to mid 90's. Josh has signed to play at The Ohio State University, but he will now have to weigh his options for the future.

Michael O'Neill (17U Elite) became the second member of the Ohio Elite to be selected in the Major League Baseball draft. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 42nd round with the 1285th overall pick. Michael continues the O'Neill blood line with the Yankees as his uncle Paul was a star outfielder for the Yankees.
