Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u Win USSSA  AAA 10u Ohio State Championship

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u and New Albany Gold lit up the scoreboard on Sunday as they combined for 23 runs. In the end, Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u won the offensive battle 12-11 in six innings.

The teams combined for 22 hits, including eight extra base hits.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u scored on a two-run home run by Caleb Sheriff off Thunberg, scoring Sam Sells.

 

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u hit four home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u came when Weston Melick homered in the third inning, Brady Bocherer homered in the fifth inning, and Ty Hatfield homered in the sixth inning.

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Sam got things going for Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u with a double. A stolen base then moved Sam from second to third. Ty singled, bringing home Sam . Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u added more runs when H scored on a groundout byAustin Knupp.

New Albany Gold answered Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u's top inning with six runs of its own in the second. New Albany Gold scored on an RBI single byHenze, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Stall, a two-run single by Hoff, and a sacrifice fly by Tammaro.

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u went up for the duration of the game after the fifth inning. Additional runs came from an error and a solo home run by Brady.

Ohio Elite -Hatfield 10u scored three runs in the sixth, keyed by a solo blast off the bat of Ty.

Three runs in the bottom of the sixth helped New Albany Gold close its deficit to 12-10. An RBI single by Hoff, a walk by Presthus, and a walk byAppell triggered New Albany Gold's comeback. Tyler Harry got the last out, as New Albany Gold's Thunberg grounded out.
